Avatar 2: James Cameron showed footage from the recording of the sequel

Less is missing. A little less. Lovers of Pandora, the story between Neytiri and Jake Sully and the whole fantastic universe created by James Cameron have a new reason to celebrate. Through the film’s official account, the Canadian filmmaker shared footage from the Avatar 2 set , the sequel to the highest-grossing film in film history .

In the images, Cameron can be seen as he gives instructions to the actors, all the moment they dive to record. The color data? A series of white spheres float around the pool to keep the lights from brightening the underwater scene too much.

The release of Avatar 2 is scheduled for December 17, 2021, a date that has not yet been changed, despite the large number of filming suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic .

Back in 2019, 10 years after the premiere of the highest grossing film in history, Cameron had returned to the Pandora ecosystem thanks to Tsu’tey’s Path, a six-installment comic .

“While we have four sequels in production, there are many more stories we want to tell. That’s why we worked together with Dark Horse Comics to reveal the mysteries that the world of Avatar has to offer us. In the past, present, and future of the historical line of Pandora “, the director had pointed out at that time.

At the moment, we only know that Avatar 2 will focus on the pair of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Na’vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and their defense of Pandora.
