Windows 11 Slows SSD Speed ?

4.4/5 - (5 votes)

Windows 11 , which was made publicly available by Microsoft a short time ago , has since come up with some big and small bugs. Now, a new one may be added among them: According to user complaints, Windows 11 causes slower write speeds on NVMe SSD models.

Windows 11 Could be slowing down your SSD ?

When you get an SSD for your computer instead of an HDD and pay significantly more expensive prices, you choose it for higher read and write speeds. In this case, not being able to take full advantage of their speed is probably the last thing you want.

Some people using Windows 11 claim that the operating system causes slower write speeds on NVMe SSD volumes . Of course, this issue does not actively affect every user, but those affected suffer from a potential speed loss of 10 to 50 percent on SSD volumes  .

Considering the users’ shares, the problem seems to occur only with some NVMe SSD volumes. If you’re using a 2.5″ SATA SSD or an M.2 SSD using the SATA bus, you shouldn’t be affected by this issue. On the other hand, NVMe SSD units are strictly aimed at high-speed consumers, and the problem with these drives is enough to clearly annoy many people. .

In the statement made by Microsoft, it was emphasized that it was aware of the problem and was working on a solution. Users should soon encounter a software update that will fix the issue.

So what do you think about this problem? Have you upgraded to Windows 11 and if your answer is positive, have you encountered this and similar problems? Do not forget to share your views on the subject with us and our other readers in the comments tab below.
